NethServer as NAS solution?

After struggling with FreeNAS a while am I curious what you use as storage solution together with Nethserver?

Here some opinions:

Recommend a NAS

How so? I just recommended it, did I miss something? And still, I do not get how adding a layer of virtualization does anything good for performance? Needing nginx would be because of Apache being slower with same workload.

Thanks @dnutan but that felt more like if FreeNAS is the best thing since sliced cheese or not and not . One suggestion was Nas4Free, or XigmaNAS as it’s named now, that could be worth taking a look at.
