if you/we want to investigate, you/we must start from a vinlla one…
so, please, installa a new vm and investigate, thank you
In my test system, samba is required by vpn:
[root@nscom ~]# rpm -e --test samba
error: Failed dependencies:
samba < 4.0.0 is needed by (installed) nethserver-samba-1.5.4-1.ns6.noarch
[root@nscom ~]# rpm -e --test nethserver-samba
error: Failed dependencies:
nethserver-samba is needed by (installed) nethserver-ipsec-1.1.3-1.2.g249f62e.ns6.noarch

I know, sorry, I was asking for the output of the above commands ran on your system.
On another system, if I run rpm -e --test nethserver-samba I get no output: it means that I can remove it (you could do the same).
From yum.log yuo can see when it was installed and maybe why.
