Samba shares inaccessible after update

NethServer Version: 7.3.1611
Module: samba
After updating this morning only unprotected samba shares are accessible. HELP!

Did a rollback of the latest update with yum history undo, all working again. :sweat_smile:

What was the updated version?

yum history info nethserver-dc

What SMB client are you using? Windows Home, Windows Pro (joined to domain?), smbclient…

I tried to reproduce the problem, but everything seems fine here, at least from smbclient.

SMB clients from Windows 10, Home and Pro, not joined to domain, as well as from my Dolphin on Fedora KDE spin.

Samba logs are mostly empty, messages log is quite a lot, and includes local IP’s. Maybe I can better send it straight to you as a text file?

Following this update, one of my client machines, running Rune, was no longer able to access my music library share. The Samba log showed:

[2017/05/26 13:06:58.425671,  0] ../source3/auth/auth_domain.c:225(domain_client_validate)
  domain_client_validate: unable to validate password for user eddie in domain DISCWORLD to Domain controller NSDC-NETHSERVER.BOGOLINUX.NET. Error was NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD.

Turns out that Rune was forcing the “sec=ntlm” parameter on the mount, which I’m guessing isn’t usable after this update. Although I haven’t been able to find anything that documents this.
