A tragic wave of motorcycle accidents has overwhelmed our medical centers, leaving no rooms available for those who aren’t in critical danger. Being home is a blessing, but it is a sobering reminder of how fragile everything can be.

As I stepped through my front door, the reality of my professional life met me at the threshold. To keep my business license and continue building my future, I must formalize my workspace. The local government requires a dedicated office, fire department certifications, and urban sanitation clearances.

The Path Forward

To transform a corner of my apartment into a compliant, functioning office, I need to invest $2,500. This covers:

Essential Infrastructure: Desk, monitor, UPS (battery backup), and ergonomic chair.

Simply start with what you have. Talk with Nethesis off-line if and how you can work with them. Start small. This is the normal global approach, just start. Many started in the garage, bedroom or kitchentable.

Good morning, brother. I discussed this with my wife. I just need a monitor, and then I can continue working at my desk. I’ll start gathering the necessary equipment and offering it to Nethesis if the opportunity arises, and I’ll need to check the membership costs to make it happen. Paying for Apple and Google memberships is what I could afford to start with before having an office.

But as things stand, it’s difficult, although I’ll keep trying.

I just need to invest a little to make it happen.

I’ve already sent my resume to PDVSA and several supermarkets to try and find a stable job with a moderate income for savings. A company has requested my services to upgrade some analog phones to IP, but the job hasn’t been finalized yet.
