Rdp disconnected over vpn

Nethserver 7.8 little question sometimes not frequently

From an friend with vpn connected from his house, he connects to an Ubuntu 20.04 vm (xrdp) on my proxmox, but it he tries to connect from windows vm at same time, he gets disconnected from rdp remmina from Ubuntu vm and gets reconnected… I am trying to troubleshoot more… But out of ideas (ts profile xrdp block I have put to accept all or rdp issues…)

Salut Vitor

I think even if you tried from home, with two different connections, you’ld run into the same problem. It’s a specific Ubuntu issue. I’m using Debian / Mate running as LXC for xRDP, this does not seem to have the same issues.

Test first, if it works locally with two connections…

I’m not sure, but I think it had to do with reconfiguring lightdm…
It depends what desktop, and how it was installed on Ubuntu. Not all Desktops are really sable with xRDP…

I also used mate on Ubuntu - it did work but a little slower than Mate on Debian - with the same ressources allocated in LXC in Proxmox.

My 2 cents
Andy

Do you have put Debian with xrdp, lightdm and mate as desktop environment.

yes.

And not as a VM, but as a very sleek LXC…
