Should vim be installed by default?
vi is enough, I know, but every time I login on a new server, I do

# vim somefile
-bash: vim: command not found

:rage: :bomb: :gun: :imp: :skull:

# yum install -y vim

Do you want vim installed by default?

  • YES - Install vim by default
  • NO - I don’t want those additional 3MB to base distribution

You should open a bug to upstream CentOS :stuck_out_tongue:

this summer @Stll0 when all the staff will be in holidays add ‘vim’ in dependency of nehserver-base :slight_smile:
