NS8 delay browsing SMB share

After build 2 x Nethserver 8 with Debian12 (Andy’s Method) I am getting more familiar with NS8. I have found an issue with the samba share. When browsing from Windows 11 there seems to be a 12-15 second delay when you right click on a folder. I have just checked on the original NS8 I built from the Qcow/Rocky image and there is no delay on the NS8 share from Windows 11. Any ideas?

I couldn’t reproduce testing on Windows 11 26100.3194.
Is it the same on another Win11 client?
Which Win11 version are you using? Use winver.exe to check the version.

Does it also take longer when you list the files in cmd?

dir \\server\share

Does it make a difference when using IP (\\192.168.0.10) or name (\\server) ?

Is it the same when the share is mapped as a network drive?

Please also check the logs page for errors/timeouts…

Couldn’t it be the antivirus scanning the selected file? I still saw similar behavior even with older versions of Nethservice that had the same behavior.

I moved memory from 4 to 8gb and it seems to be better.
