Need help with setting up Voicemail in FreePBX

I activated the voicemail by creating /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/100 (my extension)

100 is a folder or just empty file?
And anothe question: Is no one using voicemail? Or may be no one using FreePBX with Nethserver?
