NethServer Version: 8 Module: Mail
Hi i receive a lot of email in Junk Folder there aren’t spam for example this below are two screenshot send from same device (NAS Synology) the 1st is a test email receive correctly in inbox folder, the 2nd is a notification of the state of the backup:
The second mail was classified as junk by the Bayes filter.
You could add a bypass rule to allow a specific sender like the Synology NAS. This way it won’t be recognized as junk anymore, see also Mail — NS8 documentation
Hi @mrmarkuz
Yes but the Bayes Filter based of what criteria is classified the mail as “junk”?
As i said both email’s are sent from the same smtp server and same device, i don’t get what could be trigger the bayesian/rspam filter to assign the spam flags.
Ok so just by moving the email from spam to inbox the bayesian filter can remember for the next time the email arrived to move in the inbox and not to spam folder?
It depends on what the Bayes filter learned already but it should learn from your spam/ham decisions, you can watch it on the rspamd status page.
See also the Bayes filter explanation at the bottom of Mail — NS8 documentation
But in this case I’d just set a bypass rule for the mails from the NAS to make it work in any case.
Ok perfect, btw this morning i check the mail and now i receive correctly on inbox and not junk folder.
Seems moving email from client “Thunderbird” is working, bayesian filter learns!!!
