Issues with crowdsec update 1.0.13

All, first off my bad for not taking a snapshot before doing the updates though in my defence they have been pretty flawless.

On that note i complete the core update, the webtop update, the mail update and imapsync update without any problems, tested mailflow between and worked fine.

I did the crowdsec update and i could no longer send email (imap connection was ok still) and no email came into the system.

error message “service not recognised” and that was when an external server tried to connect.

i tried updating the certificate, this went through ok and outlook was giving an error when running its tests regarding sending.

could not connect due to issue with encryption, im paraphrasing as i have reverted back to last nights backup now.

at present i haven’t updated crowdsec so if there are any gotchas or issues let me know

thanks

rob

Crowdsec is not in charge of the mail server, does the postfix container is up ?

Can you check the log of the mail module when you receive the email

You are correct, the failure has happened now on the restore but without crowdsec being installed.

getting this error in the maillog

451 4.7.1 Service unavailable - try again later; proto=SMTP

and when trying to send from outlook i get - sending reported an error 0x800ccc7c establishing a encrypted connection to your outgoing smtp server failed and now no emails are coming in either.

also milter-reject appears in the log

this is after an update

also getting this in web top log

BYE Jakarta Mail Exception: java.io.IOException: Connection dropped by server

I think this may be down to rspamd, though i know it sounds like im clutching at straws…there is nothing in rspamd since yesterday, no stats, nothing at all

any thoughts on disabling it?

rob

More to add to this, have reverted back to the backup before the update, will see how it plays over the next week and see how we go
