True, but some people want such “features” at home too.
20 years back, we had a sort of Modem-Box (analog). Dialing the number with a code to that device, and they could power-cycle or on / off up to 3 servers…
Device was fairly cheap, but the phone line costs add up…
In those days, a phone line costed about 20$/Month, or 240$/year or a thou in 4 years - a lot of money for a phone line never used (ideally)!
