When creating a new Static Lease, it would be helpful if the field where I assign the new IP address provided a drop-down list of all the available IP addresses.
Of course, it’s up to the user whether to select one of the available ones or assign another at their own risk.
Sometimes when I perform an operation like this, I have to first check which ones are actually free and then configure them. It would be helpful to have a drop-down list of available ones already in the entry phase.

Not sure this could help the configuration of the firewall to be honest. Most of the configurations that are done are actually knowing beforehand every IP or range the administrator will give to the machines.
By showing a “Free IP” of a subnet (in case of multiple LANs/DHCP, this can be tricky, which to pick from first?) probably we trick the user into picking a wrong IP.
A better thought that comes to mind, is to allow the pre-fill of a static lease using the dynamic lease list, so you can pre-fill the fields. But this can be achieved using the context menu on the dynamic lease section:
