One of the biggest hurdles for a machine-assisted translation with deepl into German is the provision of a suitable DOCX file, since Michel-Andre can only provide either PDF or exceptionally ODT files.
Saving directly as DOCX with LibreOffice does not work without data loss.
I have now found a way to create cleanly converted DOCX from PDFs. For this purpose “The Document Converter” as a macOS app has proven to be almost perfect.
