First of all, look at the Mail > Queue page, to check if messages are left in the queue. You’ll find the delay reason for each message. See Mail — NS8 documentation.
For example, in the Logs page, select the Mail application:

:postfix/smtp]
as search query to see what Postfix is sending out - Use
:postfix/lmtp]
as search query to see message deliveries
The logs should be sufficient, but other tests are possible. For instance, a packet sniffer (like tcpdump
) can help, especially for tracking DNS requests, though it is much more complex to use.
