After recently migrating from NethServer 7 to NethServer 8, I have encountered several issues related to domain management which are affecting user accounts. When accessing the domain management page, I receive the following validation error:
Validation errors: [2.catchall: Must validate one and only one schema (oneOf) 2.catchall.dtype: 2.catchall.dtype must be one of the following: “user”, “group”, “public”, “apo”]
Additionally, when I attempt to create a new domain, the system indicates that the domain has been created successfully. However, the new domain does not appear in the domain list, and thus I am unable to manage it.
This issue occurs in the following section of the interface:
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving these issues as they are critical for the functionality of our mail system. If you require any additional information or access to system logs, please let me know, and I will provide them promptly.
As the original poster did not even bother to state what kind of account provider he was using in NS7 - despite saying he has issues affecting account authentification, I really doubt you can have the same problem or issue - as you can’t know what situation he ran into.
If you want support, don’t reanimate such old zombie messages and create your own, but DO provide infos, always if possible for both sides of a planned migration (NS7 and NS8).
For Example:
Native Install, Hosted or VM
LDAP or AD
What do you intend to migrate (Apps!)
If you’re too lazy to create your own post, probably no one will answer this non-question.
I was reaching out to " DeltaInv " first before wasting others time and effort.
The errors received is identical as the original post.
Migrations process is from a Proxmox VM NS7 fully patched with LDAP to a new Proxmox VM NS8 fully patched with LDAP on top of Rocky which is also fully patched.
The Apps migrating are Ejabber, Emails and Webtop.
Emails are working fine, just can not access Domains. Can create new users and the emails work for the new users.
The original NS7 email server had a catchall email address, which I suspect is causing the issue and needs to be deleted.
Well, you might notice that the original poster never posted anything here since Aug 2024 - it’s now 2025…
So it might be a long wait.
Good luck.
It might be interesting to know what DNS are you using in your Setup. NS7 had a DNS built in. NS8 does not!
But not in this old post. Even if I answer here, it will probably never help another user. As you’re not the original poster, you can never click “solved”, which would actually help other users…
