Yes I used ssh-keygen to generate my keys. The ID files I kept in another system since all you need is the public information inside of the .pub file which I placed in authorized_keys. I didn’t use ssh-copy-id however. I just cut & paste the information. It worked well for the root account.
Please check for copy/paste errors when placing keys in files.
You may try ssh-copy-id to let it setup all for you and avoid errors.
I just finished rebuilding my Nethserver, didn’t install the AD yet, I’m going to leave that for another day.Thanks for the recommendation, I will try that when ready.
