Because you use it a lot? Because it fits your users/customers needs?

The squid implemantation is my favorite.
Before I used nethserver I configured it manual. With nethserver it’s much easier and not so much work

Easy to setup and now when i test one implementation I am preparing to move my physical servers to one machine running NS7 and virtualize all (he he “One server to rule them all” )

all the things 4 a small biz server

- Samba share (if ACLs are working)
- Mail with SOGO
- Nextcloud
I will try IRC and Wiki 2
There are a lot of nice powerfull and mostly free solution 4 VM
my Neth 7 will running on a small xenserver HA cluster with 2 nodes
On my mind services and firewall including routing had 2 run on a diffend VM oer better on external hardware. there are things like untangel …
Totally agree with Axel. After looking for a replacement for sbs2011 for quite some time and trying zentyal alfresco etc… I saw a mention on another bbs to nethserver. The combination of email ad and nextcloud are perfect for a small business.
So, Email + NextCloud is the best mix
Email, Active Directory, and NextCloud. I also agree that SoGo should be used for groupware as it syncs all data with Thunderbird which integrates nicely with quickbooks desktop software.

dont 4get samba AD and Samba fileserver with roaming profiles but now ACl are not working in the shares.
Horde is nice with mobile phones
What is with radius ?

ddclient would be good.
SOGo, followed a close second by SOGo.
Getting OpenChange (with external AD) working would be even better.

@gbr OpenChange, Zentyal spent a lot on it and it didn’t work so well as far as I know.
Any other vote?

This I right, I tried before, it shows always synchronization errors, the secratary function didn’t work.
@gbr Please have a look at CalDav Synchronizer for Outlook, it works good.
