What is exactly the NethMonitor?

Hello,

I was looking the main site, and go n this little new botton that change… the NS PRO botton.
And I discover this little NethMonitor:
http://www.nethesis.it/?portfolio=nethmonitor-2&lang=en

It look like a Raspberry PI B, in a cute case

What is this NethMonitor exactly?
What it can do?

It not only looks like a rpi, it IS an rpi… (look at the logo on the board)

The board is a RaspberryPi B,
I put this image to compare with the NethMonitor.

You can compare the hdmi, the RJ45, the two usb ports…

Jim

I still think it is a rpi…

I’m 99.9% sure it’s a Raspberry PI B…

What is is under the hood?
A NethServer ARM flavour?
A Pidora or a Raspbian?

What is bring for monitoring tolls? Nagios? Netatalk ?

Kim, take a look to my old answer: Install Nagios on NethServer - #18 by giacomo

Yes, it’s a Raspberry which runs a Raspian with a Nagios installation.
The probe talks with our operation center and auto-configure itself to monitor a remote site.

Ok,
with this cross conversation…I discover Nethserver-Nethmonitor, an entreprise package and this Raspbian/Nagios installation.

They are similar package for both plateform? One is rpm based, the other is deb based…
I I’m well understand?

The enterprise package is open sourse or not?

That’s pretty sweet! How much do they go for?

Yes, raspbian is deb bases. But the Nagios is rebuilt from scratch inside the raspberry using an Ansible playbook.

The raspbian installation and the PHP wizard are not Open Source, since both software are tailored to our operation center.

If you mean the price, I have no idea

@giacomo

How about external sensors: temperature, humidity and so on?

Like all in one solution for DC or small office DC.

AFAIK rasperrt doesn’t have such sensor built-in, but you can monitor such things with Nagios

There are many breakout board with all sensors available and not for rspi search for Arduino. I thing you can measure nearly everything if you wish.
