We need your help to make NethServer 7 the best release yet, so please take some time to download and try out the Beta2 and make sure the things that are important to you are working.

You can install it on a virtual machine or on a bare-metal server using a DVD or USB stick
Upgrade from Beta 1 is supported through the Software center
If you find a bug, please report it replying to this topic – every bug you uncover is a chance to improve the experience for thousands of NethServer users worldwide, also our amazing beta testers team will be called upon to give its support on that!

Together, we can make NethServer rock-solid. We have a culture of coordinating new features and pushing fixes upstream as much as possible, and your feedback will help improve not only NethServer but Linux and free software as a whole.

Plain vanilla nethserver 7 beta 2 with DNS and DHCP from iso. Account provider: Samba Active Directory from Software center (create bridged interface and setting a different IP address in the EDIT: green network) brings a S96nethserver-dc-join #6 error in the red box

And when i try to create any Domain account i got
ads_connect: No logon servers
ads_connect: No logon servers
Didn’t find the ldap server!
ads_connect: No logon servers
Join to domain is not valid: No logon servers

Just a newbie, I have no a simple idea how to debug this.

That different ip address needs to be in the green network.

Sorry my mistake. The ip actually is in the green network. 192.168.200.1 server and 192.168.200.2 br0

If I have what seems to be a bug to report, should I do a fresh install of 7.2 beta2 or is a fully updated 7.2 beta1 install equal?

There are no big differences, (a fully updated beta1 actually is a beta2) however it depends on how difficult is to reproduce the bug.

@alefattorini @davidep This is weird, i cant seem to download the beta2.

Are there any other South african’s on the community.

My internet connection is now up and running, and I wanted to try the new iso, but seems there is a problem with our cache servers here in South africa, unless my connection is giving me a problem?

I don’t know why but after update to beta2 all my anon shares are out of order.
I can’t anonimously login to samba and ftp from my network =(
vsftpd.log contains next entries only:
