The stephdl repository is opened

I started to work on my repository, in order to install see http://mirror.de-labrusse.fr/doku.php?id=nethserver

For now it is still beta, maybe until the next century, if you install the rpm nethserver-directory you will receive emails about upgrades to the admin user.

Of course don’t hesitate to report issues about the mirror

Thank you!
I just installed and configured without issues F2B for NS7!

:clap::clap::clap:

Hi @stephdl ,

Sorry to bother you but I still learn Linux.
So, how can I do that to receive email notifications?

TIA,
Gabriel

probably a bug, my guess

Each day, yum does a checkupdate and tests if some updates are available, then a mail is sent to the defunct ‘admin’ user. But Here I need to send the email to the root for NS7.

You can try to (re)install the repo package:

yum install http://mirror.de-labrusse.fr/NethServer/7/x86_64/nethserver-stephdl-1.0.0-2.ns7.sdl.noarch.rpm

To address this issue please refer to the below knowledge base article

it seems a file name mismatch… browsing the repo file name is nethserver-fail2ban-0.0.7-1.ns7.sdl.noarch.rpm

Done but an error on last screenshot.

EDIT:

Same error as @dz00te

yum clean all --enablerepo=stephdl
yum install nethserver-fail2ban --enablerepo=stephdl

I cleaned the repodata made by createrepo, normally it should be good.

Hi Stephane,

It works, no errors!

Thank you again!

Great work Stephane!

I would go further with following steps:

  • if all backers agree, pay the bounty to Stephane
  • move the package to NethForge, so anyone can easily install the package from the Software Center
(also, IIRC Stephane can already push package directly to the forge)

Backers: @alefattorini @dz00te @WillZen @GG_jr @dnutan @Fred

yes, ofcourse i agree, but at the same time i have some doubt about the goodness of the “bountysource way” for ns…
in other words (and ofcourse i could be wrong), also if i don’t use fail2ban (for now), i think that 40$ for a contrib like this, it is maybe a too small amount to attract other devs to develop and maintain contribs for ns but probably this is another thread…
