Installed today

  1. Installation worked great with no issues.

  2. Selected only English and Only English was installed.

  3. After finished, and with first login, i’ve run yum update from the cli.

  4. Wizard looks great (still think, server function should be added there
and add the packages prior to finish)

5.Dashboard looks great, worked without any setup, don’t understand why so
many messages, might be because i updated after install?

  1. Log viewer, ok, empty, follow, read, no issues.

7.Software center seems ok,
7.1 Package install selected almost every group and installed no
issues.

8.Security, Network Services, SSH, trusted networks, everything ok

9.Configuration, everything ok.

I’ll start checking applications tomorrow.

What do you mean? The possibility to choose between a server-only or a gateway configuration?

I think he means something like that:

@davidep I love NethServer.

The help files are already on GitHub? attached modules that are not translated yet or if incorporated in transifex.

Regards!

Thank for your warning!

We’re fixing the Software Center and Restore Data page.

About the Help file. I can’t see NethServer_Module_RestoreData.rst under

Could you create a PR with it?

No problem, I will create today

Server-only, gateway, ad/samba, mail, web server, something like for
starters that shouldn’t have to think on what packages to choose for that
function.

Ok, got it! You’re right, this is a wished feature but it requires much much work and we don’t have the time neither resources to do it right now. Sorry :frowning:

I have a fix for this problem, anyone want to test it?

The fake nethserver-firewall-base-ui is available for 6.6? I don’t see it listed, even after a yum update.

I’m not going to assign that issue to myself because I may be doing things completely wrong.

However, I ran this on a clean install of 6.6:

yum --enablerepo=nethserver-testing install nethserver-firewall-base --nogpgcheck

It appears to be working fine. Any comments or suggestions?

Edit: ran the following command on another clean install where I had installed firewall and dns/dhcp from the software center prior:

yum --enablerepo=nethserver-testing upgrade nethserver-firewall-base --nogpgcheck

Everything is working great on this one too… Did I do any of this correctly? LOL

I can see the package is in nethserver-testing/6.6 repo:

http://mirror.nethserver.org/nethserver/6.6/testing/x86_64/Packages/nethserver-firewall-base-ui-2.7.2-1.1.gf6e3b28.ns6.noarch.rpm

Try the command

yum --enablerepo=nethserver-testing update nethserver-firewall-base-2.7.2-1.1.gf6e3b28.ns6

The Software Center page can’t see nethserver-testing

I just checked: the warnings are ugly but also not harmful

Why there’s no announce on Distrowatch?
It could bring lot of testers and feedback…

I think they need some time to pick up the news.
Maybe we need to “ping” them.

Tomorrow I’ll post the new on our blog, maybe it helps.
