Move the location of SWAP

I have connected a 2nd HDD and would like to move the swap from the LVM on the primary HDD to the 2nd hdd outside of the LVM on the primary HDD.

I would see an improvement on the HDD throughput when the system is working hard needs to swap.

Would anyone see any drawbacks of doing this?

What would the commands be to move the swap to the second HDD?

There is no “move” available. You would just have to go through the normal steps of creating the new swap space and removing the existing one. Once removed you can then “release” the space back to the LVM pool.
