@giacomo will try to keep you updated on this.
Take a look at some details here:
Just to share a very short-term roadmap.
These things will be released in next few days:
Some tweaks for Squid (like a configurable list of safe ports)
Minor firewall optimizations
SNMP server support
We are working on:
support for ip range and subnet objects for firewall rules
support for ip range subnet, role and zones in web content filter
ip/mac binding in firewall
language packs
Want share with you this short/long term roadmap.
We will continue to update this as we encounter more “yes, we’re probably going to do that, but I can’t tell you exactly when” feature requests.
Short-Term (aka next months)
Radius Server
Adagios + OCSInventory + Nagios
FreePBX-Asterisk
New groupware based on WebTop project
NethServer 7 alpha
Long Term (aka hope within this year)
FreeIPA

I would like to help
You’re welcome, just added you to the team.
Please, get start from this http://dev.nethserver.org/projects/nethserver/issues?query_id=27
Let’s choose an issue and follow test cases!
Woah, a lot of work here!!
@vcc you’re a great Testing Team coordinator! Take a look at this guy!

http://dev.nethserver.org/issues/3164#change-15242

what do think to write togheter “How to make QA”
We should write down guidelines, hints, best practices. This could be a good starting point:
If others testing team members are interested, i’m using this template for the verification process in redmine, i think it’s self-explanatory:
GENERAL WORKFLOW
1. status of test box and list of packages/groups currently installed
2. replicate problem in detail
3. install new package
4. repeat testing above (2nd line)
5. fixed/not fixed based on new testing, conclusion: VERIFIED or TRIAGED
6. Misc Notes (Documentation Impact, other..)
VERIFICATION TEMPLATE
+System and…
What about?

hi @alefattorini
what do you think to create a subcategory qa/testing under the category development (like Translations)? it’s easier to select/search than with tags
Why not? Are there already some discussions about it?

if you mean about the creation of the category, i don’t think…
if you mean if there are discussion that can be moved inside the new category:
all in:
Topics tagged qa
some of:
Topics tagged testing
and others like:

I can help in other tthings, like testing or trying new features.

Yes they are, what do you think @davidep ? Should we add such category? We can call it just “Testing”

great idea @dz00te
@alefattorini why don’t we have it yet!?
Are you sure?
This category is obsolete. For new topics add a testing tag instead. More info
@dz00te happy testing with your new category

Thank you Alessio,
Thank you dz00te,
I’d feel honored to be part of the test team.
I want you to know I do not know much about Linux.
As I said, I’m still learning.
However, I think I can be a good member of the test team.
If you will read this, Some question about E-mail and SOGO - #10 by GG_jr , you will know that I’m interested to use NS as email server for multiple domains (and not only) and I will try to bring my contribution to improving this use.
Kind regards,
Gabriel

As @dz00te already said
certainly doing qa / testing allows you to learn more about the project day by day “without Being a Programming Genius or a Rock Star”
Take a look at the discussions quoted above! And keep an eye on issue on QA status:
http://dev.nethserver.org/projects/nethserver/issues?query_id=27
Or help people to improve their bug reports!
