Baptism by fire.. Recovering data off the hard disk?

Basically I pretty well trashed the /var/ folder earlier now the thing won’t even boot up online I am now trying to recover some data if possible however in my xubuntu machine can not seem to see any thing… Any thoughts Im on my way to the new Beta server now…

Over 16 re-installation of the NethServer 7 Beta1 “Mayo” still can not get it to hit the network no matter what… Sorry i wasnt being very clear here…

What am i missing in the network configurations of the new Nethserver… I do require specialized gateway in order to connect to the internet…

On the new centos 7 beta server is it possible to force it to use public network only?

Well installation would be nice but i suppose not required… Ugh really frustrated tonight… It is my fault though… i did force a command and didn’t realize what folder i was in…
